Pretzel salt is a compact vacuum salt or a rock salt with a very narrow grain size spectrum. It is used to season lye pastries, salty bakery goods or long-life baked products. Besides its flavouring effect the salt also has a decorative character.
esco offers two types of pretzel salt: Edelsiebkorn, manufactured from rock salt and Bäckerstolz® from compacted vacuum salt. Both salt types are produced without any additives or release agents.
