SALDORO® Urmeersalz receives Superior Taste Award
The good flavour of SALDORO® Urmeersalz (ancient sea salt) has now also been confirmed by an international, independent expert jury, being awarded the Superior Taste Award for the first time.
SALDORO® Urmeersalz (ancient sea salt) is esco's natural salt brand with a complete product range. The good flavour of the pure, unrefined rock salt from the natural salt deposits of the primeval Zechstein Sea has now also been confirmed by an international, independent expert jury, being awarded the Superior Taste Award for the first time. The jury not only gave the salt mill products three stars (= exceptional taste), but also awarded all other products two stars (= noteworthy taste).
The taste test was organized by the renowned International Taste & Quality Institute, based in Brussels. The Superior Taste Award is based on an evaluation by Michelin star head chefs and sommeliers. The jury consists of 120 members of the 15 most renowned associations of chefs and sommeliers from 17 different countries. Overall, 1,607 products were submitted for evaluation, but only some of them received awards.
The evaluation is neutral and independent: The jury members merely get to know the corresponding category of the product; origin and packaging are not included in the assessment. This enables the gourmets to focus fully on taste and sensory aspects.
The outcome: The expert jury was totally convinced by SALDORO® Urmeersalz, rating it as very good. This is already the second award for SALDORO® after the packaging design received the sought-after Red Dot Design Award in 2013.
