Brine is a salt-water-solution. The term brine is used for a natural salt-water spring as well as for a solution where salt has been dissolved in water.
Brine is used for a variety of applications, e.g. for de-icing purposes, in chemical industry, for water softening purposes, for swimming pools, sea-water aquariums and dolphinariums.
By recrystallization of brine,
vacuum salt is produced.
