Every story has a beginning. The one of Cérébos® starts in 1892.
Once upon a time, a small boy of rather delicate health refused to take his medicine - calcium phosphate - as it did not taste well. His father, a chemist, cunningly contrived a ploy: by adding a dash of salt, the efficiency would be increased - and the taste improved, too. Thus, the boy no longer refused the medicine and soon recovered.
Besides, with the salt-phosphate-mixture the chemist had invented a method to protect the salt from humidity and from caking. In 1902, he designed the first shaker that, thanks to the free flowing properties of Cérébos® fine salt, soon held entry into every household and revolutionized the table salt market.
Today, French every-day life cannot be imagined without the traditional brand of Cérébos® that
is evoking positive childhood memories in many customers. Meanwhile a brand of esco's, the product
range includes a variety of table salt products in various granulations and package sizes, with and
without iodine and fluoride, as well as bicarbonate and the sodium-reduced mineral salt Equilibre
(Balance® Salt).
