Salt is used as a raw material for manufacturing numerous products. In chlor-alkali electrolyses, salt (NaCl) is separated into sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl).
The sodium part can be found in various downstream derivatives, such as caustic soda or sodium hypochlorite. Chlorine is used as a raw material for manufacturing of polyvinylchloride (PVC), polycarbonate or MDI (isocyanates), as well as in many other chlorine-based applications.
esco offers a variety of salt qualities suited to meet the different requirements of the chemical industry. Our product range extends from special rock salt to vacuum salt qualities which fulfil the highest demands of the latest electrolysis techniques.
