esco is a K+S Group company and Europe's leading salt producer.
The Hanover, Germany based company has 19 production and distribution sites located in Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
With an annual production of about six million tonnes of salt, esco offers its international customers a full range of high quality salt products - salt for chemical use and industrial applications as well as for pharmaceutical products and applications, a variety of food-grade qualities for nutrition and food processing, as well as de-icing products for winter road maintenance purposes.
The company employs approximately 1,300 people and achieves annual revenues of approximately 400 million euros.
Besides esco, the core business sector SALT of the K+S Group today also comprises the Chilean
Sociedad Punta de Lobos as well as the U.S. based Morton Salt. With an annual production capacity
of approximately 30 million tonnes of salt, K+S has become the largest salt producer in the world.
